Star Wars fans were recently delighted after the major fan event The Star Wars Celebration announced for the franchise and will be held at London next year.
The celebration event is described as the “ultimate fan experience” on its website, and will be held at London’s Excel Centre from April 7-10, 2023.
The event featuring announcements, immersive exhibits, screenings, autograph sessions, panels, guest appearances and Star Wars-inspired activities, also the celebration brings together generations of fans who love the famous franchise.
Star Wars Celebration 2023 tickets are due and go on sale June 30, 202, with further announcements to be made about the highly anticipated event in the future.
Produced by Lucasfilm in association with Reedpop, The event follows the success of Star Wars celebration 2022 at California in May 2022. The 2022 celebration featured line-up of panel sessions and celebrity guests, including Billie Lourd, Ewan McGregor and Pedro Pascal.
Also, Lucasfilm and Disney+ announced a new wave of Star Wars series at the event and are expected on the streaming service next year. These included a third series of hit show The Mandalorian, as well as a new spin off about Cassian Andor.
Over six years after Cassian Andor was introduced onscreen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the new Andor TV series is set to launch on Disney+ on August 31, 2022.
The series is billed as a ‘rousing spy thriller’, and will once again star Diego Luna in the role, as it follows the Rebel Alliance’s mission to restore hope to the Galaxy.
The celebration also featured announcements for further Star Wars animated series, including a second series of The Bad Batch and Star Wars Visions, along with a new spin-off – Tales Of The Jedi – with air dates yet to be confirmed.
