Johnny Depp, ScissorHands wore in ‘Edward Scissorhands’ value doubled in auction, after trial

The actor wore ScissorHands, when Propstore, an auction company of movie collectibles, announced its sale, and the price got doubled.

Johnny Depp‘s trial victory, and after resurgence in popularity are making the values skyrocketing of his movie props, including his famous scissor hands of his 1990 hit ‘Edward Scissorhands’. Depp’s actual worn insert hand just sold for an incredible $81,250 at auction, almost in doubled price as the auction experts projected its sale amount.

Propstore, a auction company famous for hawking millions of dollars worth of movie collectibles, announced a sale in early May, that would begin June 21, among the other items of the actor.

The experts projected the price of ‘Scissorhands’ would sell for somewhere between $30k-$50k, the time it was when Johnny and Amber Heard were locked in trial.

The auction experts say the interest in the trial and Depp’s victory, drove the price up when in Tuesday’s live auction, it went for $81,250 ultimately.

Johnny’s motorcycle from ‘Cry Baby’ is also set to hit the auction block soon, starting bid for that one comes in at $250,000. Propstore auctions are happening through the end of this week. Some of the other items already sold include Thor’s Hammer ($162,500) and Tom Hank‘s ‘Wilson’ from “Castaway” which went for an astounding $187,500.
