It’s been revealed that Elon Musk fathered two other children last year. The billionaire welcomed twins with a woman who works as a top executive for one of his companies. Just a few months ago, Musk’s ex-partner Grimes revealed that the pair had secretly welcomed a baby in December 2021.

Now, court documents show that Musk welcomed twins with another woman just weeks before. Documents unearthed by Business Insider show that the pair filed a petition in April to change the children’s surname to Musk. As the Tesla CEO’s known children racks up to 10 – here are all the kids he’s fathered and who his baby-mums are.

Justine Musk

In an essay for Marie Claire in 2010 Justine opened up about her relationship with Musk. She said: “It was a dream lifestyle, privileged and surreal.

“But the whirlwind of glitter couldn’t disguise a growing void at the core. Elon was obsessed with his work”. The pair had a messy divorce. Speaking about their postnup, she said: “I signed away all my rights as a married person.”

In 2010 Elon Musk wrote about the details of his divorce from Justine in a piece for Insider. He claimed that he had initially offered Justine an $80million settlement that she turned down.

In the end, Justine received the family residence in Bel Air, an unspecified alimony amount and, according to Musk, he also sent her “$20,000 (after tax) per month for clothing, shoes and other discretionary items”.

Nevada Alexander Musk

Nevada Alexander Musk was Elon and Justine’s first child. He was born in January 2000 but sadly died from sudden infant death syndrome as just 10 weeks old.

Griffin and Vivian Musk

In April 2004, Elon and Justine welcomed twins together, Griffin and Xavier, with the help of IVF. In June this year, Xavier filed a legal request to change their full name to Vivian Jenna Wilson while coming out as trans.

In the legal filing, they confirmed that the change was to separate themselves from being associated with Musk. The reason for the name change was listed as: “gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form”.

Kai, Saxon and Damion Musk

In 2006 Elon and Justine turned to IVF once again and welcomed triplets Kai, Saxon and Damion.

Grimes

Grimes is the second of Elon Musk’s baby mums. Her real name is Claire Boucher, but the Canadian singer goes by the professional name of Grimes.

Grimes and Elon started dating in 2018 but in September 2021 they announced that they were “semi-separated”. Musk told Page Six: “[Grimes and I] are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great terms.”

X AE A-XII Musk

In 2020 Grimes and Musk welcomed their first child together and made headlines when they named their new son X AE A-XII.

The baby was originally named X Æ A-12 but the Æ and 12 were against California law because they were not a part of the alphabet, so the name had to be changed. Musk and Justine refer to their firstborn as X.

Exa Dark Sideræl Musk

Despite announcing their “semi-separation” in 2021, Musk and Grimes went on to have a second child via surrogate in December 2022.

They welcomed their first daughter, who they named Exa Dark Sideræl Musk – although they have given her the nickname Y. They had kept their second child a secret, but Grimes revealed they had a daughter during a Vanity Fair interview in March 2022.

She also referred to Musk as her “boyfriend” and said that their relationship was “fluid”. But after the article was published she confirmed that they had split again.

Shivon Zilis

Now, it’s been revealed that Musk has a third baby-mum: Shivon Zilis.

According to court documents obtained by Business Insider, Zilis and Musk welcomed twins in November 2021, just weeks before Musk and Grimes had their second child.
