The Pussycat Dolls star Carmit Bachar made a triumphant return to the stage headlining Capital Pride Parade and Festival in New York on Sunday (June 12) as she addressed the recent reunion. She and her bandmates reunited in November 2019 with delivering a jaw dropping performance on The X Factor. Since the group had confirmed their plans to tour the globe in 2020 after nine years, but their shows were pushed back to 2021 due to the pandemic.
A year later, the group had rescheduled their string concerts again due to the ever-evolving situation but in January this year, the tour cancelled by Nicole Scherzinger.
Carmit has addressed the conflict and said “After all the madness of Covid and the cancelled tour it felt satisfying to be back on stage and repping for all the dolls fans across the world in front of thousands of fans.
“I’ll always be a Pussycat Doll and it’s such an honour to be able to share that special connection with the fans across the globe.”
Carmit and Jessica took to social media to share their own, following Scherzinger’s statement, explaining: “We want to say how incredibly disappointed we are to learn of an announcement made on Instagram that the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour is cancelled.
“As of now, there has been no official notification of that.
“Either way, it seems as though it’s the end of a chapter to an incredible, life-altering experience filled with some awesome memories that we will forever be grateful for.
“To the fans, we love you. Trust us, this is not the outcome we had hoped for.
“We wanted it as much as you because we appreciate you all so much and it hurts our hearts you had to wait so long for an answer, but unfortunately it’s out of our control.”
The pair signed off adding that this “is not the end of the Dolls story,” explaining they had “created a sisterhood that will live on”.
Robin Antin, Pussycat Dolls founder, issued a statement following the news saying the group had made personal and financial sacrifices but that is what a ‘band’ should have done.
She continued: “Let’s not forget there are 5 other members of this group who I care for deeply, who deserve to be heard.
“There are truths to this situation, I just hope one day they see the light.”
